Expected salary range of $79,200 to $88,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

        This role is the conduit between Constellation's rebate clients, our ops team, and other Constellation stakeholders. Responsible for timely and successful implementation of our solutions according to individual client needs and ongoing engagement to ensure that our clients are getting the most out of our services. Key to the success of the candidate will be their ability to develop strong relationships with clients, connect with key business executives and stakeholders while focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience, and maximizing the results for both the client and Constellation.                  It will be your responsibility to manage the critical information surrounding your customers' energy efficiency projects and obtain the required documents from them and their vendors to meet the timing requirements for receiving incentives. You will also be responsible for keeping all relevant records up-to-date in project databases.                  Our ideal candidate should have prior experience in managing key accounts within the energy, energy efficiency, or rebates/incentives industry.


Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Adjust and improve internal processes as needed to optimize the efficacy of each client relationship.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in person, on the phone, or via email.
  • Identify and pursue new client accounts via your existing network, existing client referrals, and other channels, both established and yet-to-be defined.
  • Manage your clients' project records in our database, keeping key information up to date and actionable.
  • Obtain client project information and documentation in support of our efforts on their behalf. Strategize with clients and their vendors to proactively ensure documentation and information are provided at key milestones and in a timely fashion.
  • Prioritize the customer experience, increasing trust and satisfaction through every interaction with your clients.
  • Strategize with and advise clients on best practices to increase their project ROIs through utilizing incentives.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience, or 9 years of equivalent experience in lieu of the degree
  • 4-years account management, energy management, program management, or project management experience
  • 2-years experience in the energy industry or sustainability industry
  • Working experience in energy efficiency program management, energy services, engineering project management, technical sales, customer support, or sustainability consulting
  • Demonstrated success and subject matter expertise in developing sustainability road maps, strategies and solutions for large C&I companies with success in developing relationships with the sustainability decision makers within their organization. Ability to successfully develop and market customized solutions with complex product offerings
  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager or in a position where you have managed a portfolio of client accounts.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work in an operating environment that requires 24x7 rotating shift work, on-call, weekends, overtime, including Holidays.
  • Solid understanding of building technologies and energy efficiency
  • Experience leading small teams or managing projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of competitive differentiation and a strong understanding of the energy management and sustainability solutions landscapes
  • Detailed knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and trends
  • Experience and familiarity with utility- and state-level energy efficiency rebate and incentive programs
  • Experience with Energy Star benchmarking 
  • Self-motivated, driven to achieve success and focused on personal continuous improvement
  • Experience in renewable energy, EV networks, grid modernization and or energy efficiency frameworks, standards and best practices in a corporate environment
  • Ability to clearly communicate both orally and in writing and work effectively across business units, functional groups, multiple levels of the Corporation and external stakeholders
  • Strong customer service skills, managing and providing exceptional support , delivering high value to internal and external clients and vendors.
  • Success in selling complex solutions in fast changing market environment with long sales cycles
