Summary of Responsibilities



Reporting to the Director, Finance & Control, directs and oversees all financial activities of URENCO USA, including oversight of current financial reports as well as summaries and forecasts for future business growth and general economic outlook. The role will also play a key part in the implementation and maintenance of enhanced controls on site to compliance with UK controls requirements, ensuring consistency with Group requirements. Provides strategic leadership for the company by collaborating with other members of the Site Lead Team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies.



Education and Experience



Minimum Qualifications


            
  • Bachelor?s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (such as accounting or finance).
            
  • 8+ years? related experience
            
  • CPA Certification
            
  • Experience of overseeing a finance team of a large subsidiary with group reporting and delivery of large volume of capital projects
            
  • 5+ years? experience in senior management

Preferred Qualifications

            
  • Master?s degree from an accredited college or university.
            
  • 10+ years? experience
            
  • CPA and managerial accounting skills at global public accounting firm.
            
  • US GAAP / IFRS. Experience of working in a US SOX environment
            
  • Systems: working knowledge of SAP or similar accounting system
            
  • Supervisory experience: 7 years in senior management
            
  • Knowledge of US government contracts.

  • Work Location: Eunice, NM
            
  • Work Schedule: 9/80 professional work schedule
            
  • Travel Required: 25% of the time or more as required.
            
  • Security Clearance Requirement: CAA Access and an L or Q level security clearance.
            
  • Emergency Response Requirements: Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty may be required; including being on-call (24/7) during your designated team duty week.
            
  • Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.



Primary Functions

            
  • Oversee the preparation of all the financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies
            
  • Oversee Finance personnel onsite in Eunice, including indirect matrixed personnel such as those in the Group Capex team
            
  • Oversee budget and related forecast preparation meetings regularly with department heads to keep informed and to offer direction. Responsibility for ongoing improvements to the budgeting processes through education of department managers on financial issues impacting their budgets.
            
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the organization?s fiscal function and performance.
            
  • Participate in the development of the corporation?s policies, procedures, plans and programs as a strategic partner.
            
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
            
  • Actively oversee capital projects of Urenco UUSA with ability to inform site leadership and Group leadership of status and costs on an ongoing and periodic basis. Will require active engagement with Group Finance and Group Projects teams, in addition to providing onsite support with procurement and other functional areas.
            
  • Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the organization.
            
  • Oversee a process of continual improvement of the local financial controls and systems, to ensure and maintain compliance with upcoming UK controls requirements and consistency with Group systems, policies, and procedures. This will include support and engagement with other finance teams in Urenco?s other counties of operation.
            
  • Provide financial perspective on any contracts into which the corporation may enter and confers with legal on contractual disputes.
            
  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends to the site leadership and Group Finance: Includes financial transparency on key decisions to both site leadership and Group Finance Director
            
  • Oversee relationship with the Group?s external auditors and other professional advisors.
            
  • Confer with Group CFO and Global URENCO management to coordinate and prioritize planning.
            
  • Evaluate the financial division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group and provide individuals with professional and personal growth.
            
  • Oversee matrix organizations and guide expected performance, including PreVent, (Devonway).
            
  • Active participation in development & implementation of site leadership ambitions.
            
  • Ensure DOE financial compliance.
            
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Compensation starting at: $ 167400 - $ 214615 / year and up dependent on candidate.
