Expected hourly range of $39 to $47.67, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k). In addition to your hourly wage, this role has additional earning potential through voluntary overtime and task work opportunities dependent on business need. This role has earning potential of $100,00 per year in total compensation.

Primary Purpose of Position

This position is to deliver installation, maintenance, and repair services for commercial plumbing systems, ensuring the safe, efficient, and code compliant operation of water, drainage, and boiler systems within commercial facilities. This role supports business operations by diagnosing and resolving complex plumbing issues, executing high quality workmanship, and providing professional guidance to clients and facility stakeholders. The Commercial Plumbing Technician ensures reliability of critical plumbing infrastructure while upholding safety standards, regulatory requirements, and exceptional customer service.

 

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Inspect, install, repair, and replace pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures to maintain the water supply and waste disposal systems.
  • Install, retrofit, and modify plumbing equipment in commercial facilities in accordance with manufacturer specifications, supervisor direction, and all applicable city, county, and state codes.
  • Diagnose and correct issues in commercial hot water boiler systems. Perform maintenance and repairs on commercial steam boilers under appropriate supervision and safety protocols.
  • Repair, replace, and install commercial-grade faucets, toilets, flush valves, domestic water lines, backflow preventers, and drain lines in offices, retail spaces, industrial facilities, and multi-unit properties.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and fabricate piping and fittings (e.g., copper, steel, PVC, PEX) for commercial applications, ensuring precision and compliance with engineering diagrams and system requirements.
  • Deliver professional customer service to building owners, facility managers, and commercial clients. Clearly explain findings, recommended repairs, and system improvements to support informed decision-making.
  • Estimate job costs for commercial plumbing repairs.
  • Follow all safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and commercial plumbing codes to ensure safe installation, maintenance, and repair activities.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Journeyman Plumbing license
  • Experience in plumbing/pipefitting or installations
  • Knowledge of gas and electric water heater installation, operation, and general plumbing practices
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with peers and key stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Advanced knowledge of local plumbing and gas codes
  • Advanced knowledge of the tools and materials related to the plumbing service field
  • Advanced skills in the servicing of hot water and steam boilers
  • Advanced ability in the usage of sewer cleaning machines
  • Strong background in service sales, with the ability to adapt and effectively represent our company's offerings
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime

Preferred Qualifications

5 years plumbing experience or 3-year commercial plumbing experience
