Mid Analyst - $87,300 to $97,000

Senior Analyst - $112,500 to $125,000

 

Ranges are per year based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401K

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Volume Management Balancing Team oversees all Retail Balancing (Buy/Sell) transactions, LDC scheduling, and utility tariff compliance to ensure they are done accurately and timely, while engaging internal and external counterparties for market insights and customer support. The candidate must have the ability to achieve desired results within tight deadlines and adapt to ever-changing energy industry guidelines and internal systems and processes using independent decision making skills.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure quality control of reports, data, analytics, and processes to mitigate risk to Constellation and Customer; track and report on monthly metrics, while maintaining high standards around executing buy/sell decisions for physical gas balancing and maximizing economic decision making.
  • Responsible for the accurate entry and data integrity maintenance within Constellation's systems - customer attributes, gas transactions, and gas scheduling.
  • Establish professional relationships with external LDC counterparts, other internal departments and customers to remain abreast of market developments, utilize insights to support customer transactional activity, optimize storage, enhance profits, and limit downside risk exposure.
  • Oversee compliance with tariff regulations; Ensure the full understanding of obligations and opportunities around market balancing requirements, as well as the execution of LDC daily/monthly scheduling procedures.
  • Support multiple secondary LDCs by demonstrating ability to perform monthly or day-to-day responsibilities in the absence of team members; Challenge the status quo to automate and improve processes through innovation, with focus and intent on creating sustainable solutions. Leverage knowledge and experience in working with project groups, Information Technology, and cross-functional teams for key deliverables. Identify and create business requirements based on changing business needs. Develop test scripts for business processes, system enhancements and bug fixes as needed.
  • Special projects as assigned. Assist teams with problem resolution to ensure overall quality of data is of the highest standards.
  • Support after hours and weekend on-call rotation needs.
  • Effortless Customer Experience address phone calls, emails and outstanding Customer Care tickets swiftly to ensure long-term customer satisfaction with Constellation.
  • Demonstrate deeper knowledge of products offered and customer contracts to ensure a solid understanding of impacts to both our customers and Constellation.
  • Travel required as necessary to meet business needs.
  • In-person attendance for trainings, team meetings, and other moments that matter.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

MINIMUM QUALIFCATIONS - Analyst II

  • 4-year degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a 4-year degree
  • Strong computer background/experience, including Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Proven decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer service orientation, serving internal and external clients.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills - ability to organize and prioritize a fast-paced, heavy workload.
  • Ability to adapt to changing markets, systems, and processes.
  • Ability to obtain and analyze data with minimal supervision and can reason through scenarios to suggest course of action or remediation.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a sense of urgency with the ability to work under daily deadlines in a high-pressure environment

 

MINIMUM QUALIFCATIONS - Senior Analyst 

  • 4-year degree and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a 4-year degree
  • Strong computer background/experience, including Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Proven decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer service orientation, serving internal and external clients.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills - ability to organize and prioritize a fast-paced, heavy workload.
  • Ability to adapt to changing markets, systems, and processes.
  • Ability to obtain and analyze data with minimal supervision and can reason through scenarios to suggest course of action or remediation.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a sense of urgency with the ability to work under daily deadlines in a high-pressure environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in the retail energy industry and/or regulated energy industry
  • Prior experience in the retail energy industry using CRM and/or Order-to-Cash workflow systems
  • Working knowledge of UDC/ISO/LDC market EDI transactions
  • Advanced MS Excel/technical skills Pivot Tables, Vlookups, IF statements, Macros
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Access and/or SQL database query development
