MILITARY FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
Dominion Energy?s Military Fellowship Program is a Department of Defense SkillBridge approved program. Fellowship opportunities are aligned with our long-term workforce needs and provide transitioning servicemembers with meaningful, hands-on experience that may lead to full-time employment upon separation from the military.
Fellowship durations may vary and can extend up to 180 days, based on mutual agreement between the selected servicemember and their military command.
Servicemember Requirements
To enroll in a corporate internship while still on active duty, the servicemember must be able to meet eligibility compliance and receive command approval. Once an internship offer has been extended, the servicemember may proceed in routing a completed program application for command awareness and approval. The internship cannot commence until you are 180 days or less from your separation date (i.e., EAOS, EAS).
Have met all instructional criteria outlined in DODI 1322.29, and relevant Service instructions
Obtain command approval to participate (i.e., signature required on Intern Application)
Provide final notification of command approval to the Employer

Electric Transmission Electrical Equipment Technician
Opportunities in our Electric Transmission organization may be located across the company?s footprint based on where there may be full-time workforce needs.
Military servicemembers with the appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined in the ?Education Section? below are strongly encouraged to apply.

This position is responsible for participating in the installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment in support of Dominion Energy?s field facilities. Individuals in this role will build the foundational knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform Electrical Equipment tasks. They will work alongside senior team members to gain hands-on experience during construction projects and maintenance activities.
Installation and commissioning assignments may include:
Post installation, individuals in this position will engage in maintenance activities as defined by each business area?s maintenance program. Maintenance responsibilities include various activities developed to meet regulatory requirements and ensure system reliability.

The position will perform tasks that support DE?s service territory, to include:
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Eligible Military servicemembers with at total of 5 years of military experience that includes at least 1 year of military technical training/education components in electrical theory, AC/DC circuits, basic electrical principals and calculations, Ohms Law, Fault isolations, and multimeter applications.

Minimum education required is either an Associate?s degree, Advanced Post Secondary diploma, or the required military experience outlined below.

Due to equipment weight limits, individuals in this role have a weight restriction of 290 pounds.
Due to after-hours response (call-out), individuals must live approximately 1 hour from designated work location
Due to the need to maneuver test equipment, individuals must be able to lift 50 lbs+.

Other Working Conditions
Requires frequent travel (50%) to various substations across the Dominion Energy system, with some overnight stays.
