Summary of Responsibilities
The Senior Project Manager (SPM) leads the full lifecycle of capital projects that support the construction, modernization, and safe operation of a nuclear enrichment facility. This role ensures projects meet stringent nuclear regulatory requirements, maintain the highest standards of safety and security, and align with organizational objectives for reliability, capacity, and compliance. The SPM provides strategic oversight, Urenco procedural compliance, stakeholder management, coordination of multidisciplinary matrixed teams, serves as a key interface with regulatory bodies, contractors, and executive leadership, and is responsible for achieving project objectives (cost, schedule, quality, and safety).
This position may interface with international organizations such as Enrichment Technology Corporation, Central Technology Group and other URENCO organizations, URENCO USA Organizations and key stakeholders to effectively implement the schedule and objectives for assigned projects.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor?s Degree
PMI Project Management Professional certification or equivalent
Eight (8) years of related work experience in Project Management, Construction and/or a Site Modifications group at a Nuclear Power, Fuel Cycle, Chemical Processing facility or similar work experience; of which at least five (5) years are in a Project Manager role.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE U.S. Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Construction Management, or other related technical fields.
Ten (10) years of work related experience in Project Management, Construction and/or a Site Modifications group at a Nuclear Power, Fuel Cycle or Chemical Processing facility or similar work experience; of which at least seven (7) years are in a Project Manager role.

Security Clearance Requirement
: CAA Access and an L or Q level security clearance.
Emergency Response Requirements:
Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty may be required; including being on-call (24/7) during your designated team duty week.
Work Environment
: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.
Primary Functions
Project Leadership & Execution
Lead full lifecycle management of capital projects within a nuclear enrichment environment, including cross-functional collaboration as needed with conceptual design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, operations, maintenance, testing, and commissioning.
Develop and maintain project baselines (scope, schedule, cost) in accordance with industry standards and internal governance.
Ensure all project activities comply with NRC, DOE, NQA-1, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
Conduct readiness reviews, hazard analyses, and project performance assessments.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, building codes, and organizational policies.
Conduct regular project reviews, progress reporting, and executive-level briefings.
Safety, Security & Regulatory Compliance
Champion a strong nuclear safety culture and ensure all work adheres to ALARA principles.
Coordinate with Nuclear Safety, Quality Assurance, and Security organizations to ensure compliance with licensing requirements, safeguards, and physical security protocols.
Prepare and support regulatory submittals, inspections, audits, and corrective action plans.
Maintain rigorous documentation and configuration control consistent with nuclear quality standards.
Stakeholder & Team Management
Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, safety, quality, procurement, and security personnel.
Communicate project objectives, risks, and progress to internal stakeholders and external regulators.
Manage contractor performance, ensuring adherence to nuclear facility access requirements, QA programs, and safety expectations.
Facilitate technical and design reviews, ensuring alignment with facility operational needs.
Risk, Quality & Technical Oversight
Develop and maintain project risk registers, implementing mitigation strategies for technical, regulatory, and operational risks.
Ensure quality assurance processes meet NQA-1 and facility-specific requirements as appropriate.
Oversee technical evaluations, design verifications, and acceptance testing.
Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and post-project evaluations.
Financial & Contract Management
Develop capital expenditure (CAPEX) proposals, cost estimates, and business case justifications for nuclear facility investments.
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls with a high degree of accuracy.
Collaborate with Contract Management and Procurement to administer contracts, including scope management, change management, claims, dispute resolution, and performance criteria.
Ensure procurement activities follow organizational and regulatory requirements.

Compensation starting at: $ 130383 - $ 162979 / year and up dependent on candidate.
