Job Summary




Responsible for the oversight and management of the Project Management and Construction Engineering programs for the nuclear power station. Leads a team of Dominion Energy and supplemental, Project Managers, Engineers, Control and Materials Specialists, to ensure project results meet requirements for quality, schedule, and budget, and provides timely and accurate information and status updates to management. Supervises teams which interface between engineering and construction vendors, the Engineering Department, county and state agencies, and station departments such as Operations, Maintenance, Outage and Planning and Security. Supervises the purchasing and expediting of materials to support Construction, solving field implementation issues, preparing welding documentation and controlling Digging, Drilling and Cutting permits. Projects can span in scope from building renovations to major system upgrades to the nuclear power station. The project portfolio typically consists of 20+ active projects that may span several years, with a year construction budget of over $25 million.




Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience




The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:




Minimum of 8 years of related engineering or project management experience. Experience in the fields of nuclear power plant engineering, project management, nuclear plant operations, or nuclear power construction is preferred. Experience must demonstrate a knowledge of the Design Change Process, Work Management Processes, Implementation of construction codes, and the ability to understand the functions of systems at a nuclear power station.




Education Requirements




Degree or an equivalent combination of educations and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:




Bachelor of Science in Engineering




OR




Reactor Operator, Shift Technical Advisor or Senior Reactor Operator (Naval Nuclear equivalent is acceptable)anda Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field
