Expected salary range of $128,700 to $143,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of Power plant operations. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.

 

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of Power plant operations. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
  • Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems. Has completed assigned skills and knowledge development training (applicable Advanced Engineering, EPRI, and Constellation University training or industry provided training) to develop expert level of knowledge in designated areas. Mentor other engineers in key knowledge and skills. � Provides initial or complete task management of engineering issues.
  • Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision applying general engineering principles
  • Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications.
  • Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
  • Recommends equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
  • All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Department duty coverage and/or call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, Engineering Technology, etc) and 6 years of related industry experience OR
  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science Engineering, Engineering Technology, etc) and 8 years of related industry experience OR
  • High school diploma/GED and 9 years of power or related industry experience with 6 of the 9 years at the exempt-level
  • Working knowledge of engineering processes and systems required for the specific functional area
  • Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

 

 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CEMS hardware, including analyzers, sample systems, and Data Acquisition & Handling Systems (DAHS).
  • Working knowledge of applicable federal (40 CFR Part 60 and Part 75), state, and local emissions monitoring regulations, with the ability to apply them to fleet operations.
  • Experience with CEMS QA/QC activities—linearities, cylinder gas audits (CGAs), RATA, recertification, and diagnostic events.
  • Familiarity with developing and maintaining procedures, standards, and best practices for CEMS operation and maintenance fleetwide, and tracking activities for compliance with station QA/QC Plans.
  • Ability to provide CEMS hardware troubleshooting support to station and contracted technicians, and to manage spare parts inventory and hardware obsolescence planning.
  • Experience with the Management of Change (MOC) process, condition reporting, and DCP/Environmental Review documentation, including coordination with Environmental teams on configuration, I/O, fault alarming, and vendor selection.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical working group meetings, manage action tracking, and support QA/QC Plan development and updates.
