Expected salary range of $166,500 to $185,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

 

The Senior Manager, Business Continuity Resilience provides strategic leadership and enterprise oversight for Constellation’s Business Continuity and Crisis Management program. This role is responsible for strengthening organizational resilience by establishing program strategy, governance, standards, and performance expectations that enable the company to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptive events.

 

Reporting to the Managing Director, Corporate Security, the Senior Manager leads the development and continuous improvement of enterprise continuity plans, crisis management procedures, business impact analyses, exercises, controls, and metrics. The role partners across business units and corporate functions to align recovery priorities, mature readiness capabilities, support regulatory and audit expectations, and ensure effective coordination during business disruptions, incidents and crisis activations.

 

The Senior Manager also builds and sustains a high-performing resilience team, manages program resources and investments, drives remediation of identified risks and audit findings, and advances innovation, including the responsible use of enabling technologies. Through executive-level engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous program enhancement, this position embeds resilience into business operations and helps protect Constellation’s people, assets, operations, and reputation.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Lead the enterprise Business Continuity and Crisis Management program by setting strategic direction, establishing priorities, and driving program maturity across business units, corporate functions, and critical operations.
  • Translate Corporate Security, enterprise resilience, and regulatory objectives into actionable program roadmaps, governance routines, operating standards, and measurable outcomes.
  • Serve as a senior advisor to executive leadership, business unit leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders on continuity planning, crisis readiness, operational resilience, emergency preparedness, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Direct the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of business continuity plans, crisis management procedures, emergency response protocols, alternate site strategies, and resilience capabilities.
  • Lead enterprise crisis response activities during disruptive events, including executive communications, CMT coordination, business impact assessment, recovery prioritization, stakeholder alignment, and post-event improvement actions.
  • Provide 24/7 leadership support for incident response, crisis management activation, situational awareness notifications, and enterprise-level emergency coordination during critical events.
  • Oversee the design, facilitation, and evaluation of tabletop, functional, and executive-level exercises to validate readiness, strengthen decision-making, test recovery strategies, and reinforce consistent enterprise standards.
  • Establish and maintain program governance, controls, performance metrics, reporting routines, and documentation standards to ensure accountability, audit readiness, regulatory alignment, and sustained program improvement.
  • Advance program maturity by identifying strategic gaps, evaluating lessons learned, assessing emerging risks, integrating resilience best practices, and recommending enhancements to strengthen organizational preparedness.
  • Partner with business units, IT disaster recovery, physical security, emergency management, facilities, communications, legal, compliance, and external response partners to align continuity and crisis management capabilities across the enterprise.
  • Support physical security risk management, site resilience planning, and enterprise preparedness activities to ensure alignment with broader Business Continuity and Crisis Management strategy.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Business Continuity and Crisis Management professionals by setting expectations, reviewing deliverables, providing performance feedback, and supporting career development.
  • Provide oversight of program resources, budgets, contracts, vendor relationships, and service-level performance to ensure responsible spend, effective prioritization, and alignment with business plan objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-ready briefings, performance dashboards, budget updates, risk summaries, and program maturity reports for senior leadership, governance committees, and other key stakeholders.
  • Represent Business Continuity and Crisis Management on security steering committees, enterprise resilience forums, governance bodies, and cross-functional working groups.
  • Champion innovation, continuous improvement, and responsible use of enabling technologies, including AI and automation, to strengthen planning, response, reporting, and program execution capabilities.
  • Build and sustain trusted relationships across the enterprise to promote ownership of continuity responsibilities, strengthen crisis readiness, and embed resilience into business operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related 4-year degree, with 5 years’ Manager experience or in Lieu of Education over 15 years’ experience.
  • Knowledge of PC/desktop workstation applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, communications skills, and presentation skills up to C-Suite audience.
  • Ability to make critical decisions under pressure and manage complex situations.
  • Demonstrated Operational Planning, Execution, and Improvement, combined with customer engagement skills and experience leading teams and people through organizational and operational change.
  • Broad knowledge of public policy related to security, including legislation, applicable security regulations, and standards.
  • Excellent consultative skills, including teamwork, facilitation, prioritization, and negotiation.
  • Demonstrated ability to present and discuss complex physical / technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding and approval.
  • Availability for travel to various work locations, external liaison activities and vendor locations, as needed.
