Krümmel is a nuclear power plant at Geesthacht in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, on the Elbe River, close to Hamburg.

Construction began in 1974. The plant had a single Siemens boiling water reactor, connected to the grid on 28 September 1983. A short circuit and transformer fire on 28 June 2007 led to a shutdown. Following the Fukushima accident in March 2011 the decision was made to retire the plant, and the unit was permanently shut down on 6 August 2011.
