The Saxton Nuclear Experimental Reactor was a small research reactor in Bedford County, Pennsylvania, near the borough of Saxton. It was a one-loop pressurized water reactor licensed at 23.5 megawatts thermal. It had no turbine of its own, so its steam was sent to a nearby coal-fired power station, and it was used for power reactor research and personnel training.

The reactor operated from 1962 to 1972, reaching initial criticality on April 13, 1962, and was shut down on May 1, 1972. Its fuel was shipped to the Savannah River Site. Minor decommissioning took place from 1972 to 1974, buildings were removed between 1987 and 1992, and full-scale decommissioning began in May 1998. The NRC terminated the license in November 2005 after finding the site met criteria for unrestricted release.
