It has two Korean OPR-1000 pressurized water reactors. Construction of Unit 1 began on 20 November 2007 and Unit 2 on 23 September 2008. Unit 1 reached first criticality on 6 January 2012, was connected to the grid on 27 January 2012 and entered commercial operation on 31 July 2012. Unit 2 reached criticality on 8 February 2015, was connected on 26 February 2015 and entered commercial operation on 24 July 2015.
