Construction began in 1958. It was a boiling water reactor of about 16 MWe, and Wikipedia describes it as the first nuclear power plant built in Germany. It was connected to the grid on 17 June 1961. The reactor was permanently shut down on 25 November 1985. Demolition of the plant was finished by the end of 2008.
