Construction of Units 1 and 2, Westinghouse three-loop pressurized water reactors, began on 4 June 1981 and 10 December 1981. Units 3 to 6 followed, starting construction on 23 December 1989, 26 May 1990, 29 June 1997 and 20 November 1997. The six units were connected to the grid between March 1986 and September 2002. In November 2012, checks found that suppliers had forged quality certificates for 7,682 parts delivered since 2003.
