Breaker-to-Breaker Runs
1 run
?
Breaker-to-breaker runs measure continuous operation between refueling outages using a cycle-adjusted threshold (90% of cycle length minus RFO duration). An active streak means the unit has been running continuously since the last refueling with no trips to 0% power.
Brunswick 1 has logged 1 breaker-to-breaker run, continuous stretches from one refueling to the next with no trip to zero power. Its longest ran 708 days, and its runs average 708 days.

Construction began on February 7, 1970. The plant has two General Electric BWR-4 boiling water reactors with Mark 1 containment. Unit 2 was first connected to the grid on April 29, 1975, and entered commercial operation on November 3, 1975. Unit 1 was connected on December 4, 1976, and entered commercial operation on March 18, 1977. Both reactors were shut down on September 13, 2018, ahead of Hurricane Florence.
