Breaker-to-Breaker Runs
1 run
?
Breaker-to-breaker runs measure continuous operation between refueling outages using a cycle-adjusted threshold (90% of cycle length minus RFO duration). An active streak means the unit has been running continuously since the last refueling with no trips to 0% power.
Davis-Besse has logged 1 breaker-to-breaker run, continuous stretches from one refueling to the next with no trip to zero power. Its longest ran 638 days, and its runs average 638 days.

Construction began on September 1, 1970. The reactor is a Babcock & Wilcox pressurized water reactor. It was first connected to the grid on August 28, 1977, and entered commercial operation on July 31, 1978. A June 9, 1985, loss of feedwater event led to a site area emergency. In March 2002 workers found that leaking borated coolant had corroded more than six inches of the carbon steel reactor vessel head. The reactor was offline from 2002 to March 2004 for repairs.
