Breaker-to-Breaker Runs
1 run
?
Breaker-to-breaker runs measure continuous operation between refueling outages using a cycle-adjusted threshold (90% of cycle length minus RFO duration). An active streak means the unit has been running continuously since the last refueling with no trips to 0% power.
Grand Gulf 1 has logged 1 breaker-to-breaker run, continuous stretches from one refueling to the next with no trip to zero power. Its longest ran 636 days, and its runs average 636 days.

Grand Gulf Nuclear Station is a single-unit nuclear plant in Claiborne County, Mississippi, near Port Gibson, on a 2,100-acre wooded site. It draws cooling water from the Mississippi River.

Construction began on May 4, 1974. The reactor is a General Electric BWR-6 with Mark 3 containment. It was first connected to the grid on October 20, 1984, and was commissioned on July 1, 1985. Work on a planned second unit, a twin of the first, was stopped in December 1979. In September 2005 the site was selected for a proposed third unit, and in 2007 the NRC issued an early site permit. The owner postponed that work in January 2009.
