Breaker-to-Breaker Runs
7 runs
?
Breaker-to-breaker runs measure continuous operation between refueling outages using a cycle-adjusted threshold (90% of cycle length minus RFO duration). An active streak means the unit has been running continuously since the last refueling with no trips to 0% power.
Peach Bottom 2 has logged 7 breaker-to-breaker runs, continuous stretches from one refueling to the next with no trip to zero power. Its longest ran 732 days, and its runs average 709 days.

Philadelphia Electric Company ordered Unit 1, a General Atomics high-temperature gas-cooled prototype reactor, in 1958. Construction began on February 1, 1962, the unit connected to the grid on January 27, 1967, and it was shut down on November 1, 1974. Units 2 and 3 are General Electric BWR-4 boiling water reactors. Construction began on January 31, 1968, and they entered commercial operation on July 5, 1974 and December 23, 1974.
